Why are we here?
WRDF is invested in the personal and economic growth of our community, which includes includes all areas within the legal boundaries of the Reservation, including the communities of Crowheart, Ethete, Fort Washakie, Arapahoe, Riverton, Kinnear, Pavillion, Lander, Thermopolis, Shoshoni, and Dubois.
How much is your maximum loan?
Small Business Loans are available in the amount of $1,000-$400,000.
What can I use loan proceeds for?
Loans must be for business purposes or community development projects. Eligible uses include:
- Working capital
- Purchase of land or buildings
- Construction of building
- Leasehold improvements
- Business vehicle purchases
- Inventory
- Equipment
- Purchasing an existing business
- Refinancing high interest business debt.
Who is eligible to apply for a loan?
Any new or existing business located on or near the Wind River Indian Reservation is eligible to apply for a loan.
Do I have to have collateral to get a loan?
Yes. All loans must be secured with collateral. Keep in mind that assets purchased from the loan proceeds can be used as collateral. WRDF staff can help you figure out what you have that can be used for collateral.
What interest rate do you charge?
Micro Loans and Small Business Loans have a fixed interest rate in the range of 6% to 9%.
Will you help me fill out the loan application?
Yes. Just call and make an appointment, or come in to the office and we’d be happy to help.
Do you give any grants to small businesses?
No. We are a lending organization.
Is there a fee for your business counseling services?
All of our one-on-one business development services are free.
What do I need to apply for a loan?
Loan application packets have a checklist that you can use to make sure that you have everything you need to apply for a loan.
Can you help me review my credit report?
Yes! We will also work with you if you don’t have a credit history or show you ways to improve your credit if you have poor credit history.
