Loan FAQ

WRDF is invested in the personal and economic growth of our community, which includes includes all areas within the legal boundaries of the Reservation, including the communities of Crowheart, Ethete, Fort Washakie, Arapahoe, Riverton, Kinnear, Pavillion, Lander, Thermopolis, Shoshoni, and Dubois.

Small Business Loans are available in the amount of $1,000-$400,000.

Loans must be for business purposes or community development projects. Eligible uses include:

  • Working capital
  • Purchase of land or buildings
  • Construction of building
  • Leasehold improvements
  • Business vehicle purchases
  • Inventory
  • Equipment
  • Purchasing an existing business
  • Refinancing high interest business debt.

 

Any new or existing business located on or near the Wind River Indian Reservation is eligible to apply for a loan.

Yes. All loans must be secured with collateral. Keep in mind that assets purchased from the loan proceeds can be used as collateral. WRDF staff can help you figure out what you have that can be used for collateral.

Micro Loans and Small Business Loans have a fixed interest rate in the range of 6% to 9%.

Loan application packets have a checklist that you can use to make sure that you have everything you need to apply for a loan.

Yes! We will also work with you if you don’t have a credit history or show you ways to improve your credit if you have poor credit history.
